Café
The café at the Kunstmuseum is a wonderful place located between heaven and earth in which it is a delight to tarry a while. From the fourth floor of the building you can let your thoughts and gaze wander across the lake. Or you can immerse yourself in the reading material available there: newspapers, magazines or exhibition catalogues offer entertainment and engrossment. Alone or with friends or business partners, the café offers you a pleasant venue for quiet moments and exchanges of ideas. The café is open to everyone and accessible without a museum ticket.
Urs Lüthi, an internationally famous artist with roots locally, designed the café and foyer. This perfectly suits our ambitious exhibition programme with its international and regional references. In the display cases he designed, Urs Lüthi presents curios objects from his large collection.
The café serves a small selection of fine food, from crispy croissants, and cakes, to delicious aperitifs. Stop by for a snack or a drink before or after a visit to an exhibition or a concert, for lunch or even for a convenient meeting near the railway station.
