Matthew Day Jackson
In Search Of…
Matthew Day Jackson (b. 1974) distinguishes himself with profound research into anthropology and the history of western civilisations. He is particularly interested in highly complex topics such as nuclear technology and astronautics, so that his work develops along the line between myth and reality, between progress and destruction, between technology and religion. Subtly and in a virtuoso fashion, Jackson makes use of the mechanisms of the diverse media landscape that shapes contemporary society. However, a point of reference is always the person and existence of the artist himself.
