The New York based artist Olaf Breuning is definitely one of the most sought-after contemporary Swiss artists. He became famous for his staged photos, but he continually comes up with something new – either with sculptures, films, installations or drawings. In this exhibition he will be presenting his latest development which was originally based on the medium drawing. For the very first time ever in Switzerland his wall-paintings and sculptures will be on display.

Olaf Breuning asks the big questions in life. He doesn’t claim to provide clear answers with his pieces, but he does actually provoke quite a lot. It works just like a small child’s questions. The question seems simple enough at first but while one is trying to answer, countless new questions just pop up. With a clever mix of naivety and cunningness he forces the observer to think things over again. Breuning challenges the observer to run through the countless possibilities in interpreting his work and also to question the meaning of it all.
