The jury of zentral! awards the Preis der Kunstgesellschaft Luzern 2022 to Martian M. Mächler (*1991). The prize is related to the exhibition Solo during zentral! in 2023. In collaboration with Esther Vorwerk and André Veigas P., Mächler is developing a collaborative sound and text work that rethinks Mächler’s prelude 6 (an adaptation and translation) from 2022. The three artists combine sounds and texts to create a polyphonic space and question the enclosed nature of the self.

For the opening, Martian M. Mächler’s poetry collection i left my body behind will be published – an autofictional text that deals with complex traumas and dissociative states in a nuanced way.
