In their first collaboration, the video artist Susanne Hofer (b. 1970) and the musician John Wolf Brennan (b. 1954) are creating, with Inner and Outer Spaces, a multimedia installation featuring both sounds and spaces. With their visual outer and acoustic inner spaces, they make the viewer reflect on different possibilities of perception.

Susanne Hofer develops three-dimensional cardboard elements into a complex and multi-layered spatial structure built on three levels of depth. Within these she nests and condenses her video projections into exciting modern puzzles.

John Wolf Brennan reinforces the unsettling visual aspect of the work with his acoustic labyrinth; different sound sources are hidden in cardboard boxes, developing an indefinable backdrop of sound. Selected sounds from everyday life ring out from the installation. The visitor to the museum experiences this work as a synaesthetic experience in the perception of space, spatiality, sounds and dimensions.
