In the collection of the Museum of Art Lucerne landscape painting is a main field of national importance. In this context, the exhibition Terrain brings together highlights from Alexandre Calame to Robert Zünd to Hans Emmenegger, focusing its attention on an interest in structure, motif and detail close to that of the sculptor. The fascinating combination with contemporary sculptures by Tony Cragg, Jan Dibbets and Andreas Gehr finally creates a range of associations between built landscape and staged nature.
